Criminal Law

At Conway, Pauley & Johnson, P. C., we still believe in the constitution.  Under our federal constitution, it is the state’s burden to prove a defendant’s guilt beyond a reasonable doubt.  The defendant does not have to prove anything.  The defendant is presumed to be innocent, only accused of a crime.  It is the attorney’s job to ensure that presumption remains in place throughout the proceedings.

At Conway, Pauley & Johnson, P. C., our attorneys have literally decades of experience defending individuals and the constitution.  We represent clients accused of crimes throughout Nebraska, ensuring that their rights are protected and the law is following by both sides of the isle.

At Conway, Pauley & Johnson, P. C., our clients are defended vigorously with all tools available to us.  By defending our clients so strongly, many times plea agreements are obtained.  In those cases where the State and the defendant cannot agree, Conway, Pauley & Johnson, P. C. holds the State to the highest requirements under the law in order to obtain for our clients every advantage available.  The client’s position is then presented at trial skillfully, as we work hard to obtain acquittal.
